The European Union announced the achievement of the limit in anti-Russian sanctions

The European Union has announced that the limit in anti-Russian sanctions has been reached

European politicians have acknowledged that further sanctions threaten the EU itself.

In an interview with the media, the head of EU diplomacy, Josep Borrel, said that the EU has reached the limit in anti-Russian restrictive measures.

As the politician explained in an interview with Franceinfo, the EU could have gone further, but the participating countries have reached the limits of what can be done from their side.

Borrel believes that “we have done everything we could”.

The head of the German Foreign Ministry, Annalena Berbock, agrees with him on this. She appealed to the European powers to be cold-blooded and think about the chance to destabilize Europe by imposing an embargo on energy imports from Russia.

According to RIA Novosti, Berbok said that the EU countries themselves should be ready to introduce such a measure, otherwise hospitals may be left without electricity, citizens may lose mobility.

If it turns out that Europe cannot withstand the measures imposed, they will have to be canceled.

All this will lead to the destabilization of the situation, which, in her opinion, Russian President Vladimir Putin would like.

As a result, even “if it breaks the heart”, do not introduce measures, but work faster to replace imports of Russian raw materials.

The truth, according to Berbok, lies in the powerful reserves of Russia, which has the resources for a long-term bombing of Ukraine.  And the only harsh measure that the West can take is to isolate the Russian president further, she believes.

As Topnews wrote earlier, anti-Russian measures were introduced by the EU and other countries in response to the conduct of a military special operation in Ukraine on February 24.

It became possible after Russia accepted the sovereignty of the LDPR.
