Russia may introduce an annual 13th pension before the New Year

The initiator of the bill was the LDPR faction.

The head of the State Duma Committee on Labor and Veterans Affairs Yaroslav Nilov took the initiative to introduce an annual payment before the New Year holidays for pensioners.

As reported with reference to his words Ura.ru, the instruction was previously given by the head of the LDPR Vladimir Zhirinovsky. The document is already ready and submitted to the Cabinet of Ministers for consideration.

According to the draft law, the payment should be provided to all pensioners, regardless of whether they work or not, including those Russians who receive insurance, state and military pensions.

The key is the equality of all categories. The payment should not put “some pensioners in a more advantageous position compared to others.”

The size of the 13th pension is proposed to be made equal to the pension that pensioners receive.

The reason for the initiative is contained in the explanatory note. It claims an increase in inflation of 9% and the subsequent decline in the standard of living of elderly Russians.

He also mentions New Year’s Eve expenses that people can’t get around.

Thus, the attention of the state to this category of the population during this period is simply necessary, the authors of the project believe.

Earlier, Topnews wrote that since December 1, pensions have been increased for three categories of pensioners in Russia.
