«Hello to McDonald's»: Medvedev threatened foreign companies fleeing Russia

The politician sent greetings to McDonald’s.

Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Dmitry Medvedev reacted to the withdrawal of foreign companies from the Russian market. The ex-President of the Russian Federation recalled that Russia itself can produce good “cutlets and rolls”.

On the VKontakte page, Medvedev said that all the decisions of companies to leave the Russian market are not business, but “pure politics.”

According to Dmitry Medvedev, Washington and Brussels, “dancing to his tune,” will not calm down in any way and will come up with “new stupid bans.” Medvedev called everyone together “ridiculous” and even felt sorry for them.

Medvedev noted that no one thinks about Russians and Europeans who will lose their jobs and incomes. Politicians only put pressure on the shareholders of enterprises and force them to submit to this will.

Russia promises a tough and principled response to this. Medvedev again recalled the arrest of foreign assets, the nationalization of departed companies.

Now the government of the Russian Federation is working on measures to prevent the dismissal of people who were left without investors.

In addition, Medvedev warned that it would not be easy to return to the Russian market. In 2014, in response to Western sanctions, Russia responded with symmetrical restrictions, and a number of issues in the field of import substitution were resolved.

“We will cope now. After all, cutlets and rolls, and of excellent quality, we are able to produce ourselves. Hello to McDonald’s!”, – writes Dmitry Medvedev.

Earlier, Medvedev warned about the possible nationalization of enterprises and the return of the death penalty in Russia.

As Topnews wrote earlier, several major brands left Russia on March 10 at once. This includes Hugo Boss, Uniqlo, Royal Canin and Sheba.

At the same time, the Moscow authorities were going to spend 500 million rubles to create an analogue of McDonald’s. It was clarified that 99% of the products for the American brand were supplied by Russian enterprises.
