The Finance Minister said that it is difficult to assess the prospects of the economy, because the number of countries that refuse oil has not been established.
The head of the Accounts Chamber, Alexei Kudrin, at a meeting of lawmakers in St. Petersburg, said that Russia needs to be prepared for a “very difficult situation” that will last for one or two years.
According to him, quoted by RIA Novosti, the economic crisis will last longer than in 2009, and will be more serious than during the coronavirus pandemic.
He also pointed to a strong increase in inflation, which will amount to 20.7% this year, and will exceed 6% in 2023.
In such a situation, the economist believes, it is necessary to soberly assess your resources and strength, assuming that the Russian economy will face strong differentiation in the near future.
Kudrin also explained that there is uncertainty about how the regional economy will react to the increase in the cost of products, the decline in exports and the rupture of logistics ties.
“We have reached a new line,” the head of the Accounting Chamber believes.
Kudrin suggested that the economy of Russian regions in the near future will be very differentiated due to sanctions.
However, according to him, it is not yet completely clear how the breaking of chains, the increase in cost, the decline in exports will affect the economy of our regions.
In turn, Finance Minister Anton Siluanov said that the production of fuel – oil and gas – from the previous volume will be reduced by 17% this year.
The expert called the reason for the refusal of a number of European countries to purchase it.
He could not name the exact number of production declines, having determined only the percentage ratio of volumes.
“How sales will continue to be conducted, it is still difficult to estimate”, — RIA Novosti quotes the head of the Ministry of Finance.
The Agency assesses the consequences of the refusal for the federal budget, but the assessment cannot be accurate, because the number of countries-refuseniks is not truly known.
“If they refuse in one place, then we will sell to others, ”, — he believes.
According to the head of the Ministry of Finance, there is no special damage from the refusal to pay for fuel in rubles. However, he believes that !volumes are declining, but prices are rising”, and the balance is maintained.
However, it is still difficult to determine the prospects, Siluanov assured.
As Topnews wrote earlier, the United Nations called the rejection of Russian fuel “madness”.
