“Everything is thrown in the trash”: at the gas meeting, Putin accused the West of hypocrisy

A closed format was chosen for the meeting.

Russian President Vladimir Putin held a meeting on gas, at which he stated that foreign banks of unfriendly countries are delaying payments for fuel.

Along the way, the members of the European Commission adopted a verdict according to which the use of the ruble in payment is undesirable.

As “MK ” writes, this may lead to the closure of the Russian gas valve in Europe. In addition, the EU, as part of a new package of sanctions, is discussing an embargo on oil and, in the future, on gas.

Media analysts say that the Russian economy may suffer damage in the budget, because 40% of income comes from the sale of fuel.

According to the markets, the European market is gradually adapting to prices of 1,000 – 1,200 euros for gas, and sharply increased supplies of liquefied natural gas lead to the filling of empty storage facilities.

According to the president, despite this, Europe does not have a “reasonable” alternative to Russian gas. He called the attempts of European politicians to circumvent the supplies of the Russian Federation “throwing”, which harm the population and the global economy.

“There are simply no free volumes on the world market. And supplies from the United States will cost many times more, just at times,” the Russian leader believes.

According to Putin, the leaders of Hungary, Austria, Slovakia and Germany themselves talk about the impossibility of refusing supplies, while continuing to discuss the embargo, which leads to market destabilization. He explained that they “inflate prices with their own hands.”

He reproached unfriendly countries for abandoning the green agenda and their willingness to bet on high-carbon energy.

Despite the fact that its archaic and dirty character was previously recognized, and the election companies relied on environmental slogans, Putin recalled.

“Where is it now? Everything is thrown in the trash,” he believes.

Putin also suggested that Europe is simply trying to cover up its own miscalculations and environmental incompetence with an anti-Russian policy.

He explained that experts explained the impossibility of switching to a green economy without large costs.

“That’s how it turned out,” he stressed.

Now, the Russian leader is sure, Russia will have to solve not only such problems as disruption of transport chains and rising prices for logistics of export supplies, but also to increase supplies for Russian consumers.

He pointed out the need to stimulate domestic demand and reduce prices wherever possible.

The second task he called the diversification of exports to the east and south from the west. First of all, it is necessary to determine the volume of the necessary infrastructure and start construction.

The third goal is import substitution of oil and gas production equipment. He recalled that such tasks were set back in 2015, and it’s time to look at the results.

As the publication notes, it is obvious that these tasks require a long implementation. For example, imported equipment in the sector accounts for 40%. The construction of pipelines to China and Pakistan will also require costs.

Earlier, Topnews reported that Austrian Chancellor Nehammer announced Putin’s permission to pay for gas in euros.
