According to Vedomosti, citing a source in the company, the assembly of cars will be temporarily suspended at the enterprise due to a shortage of components.
The plant reported that there is a shortage of semiconductors for cars that were previously supplied from Germany.
The company could not name the deadlines for the completion of downtime.
It was planned that the shutdown of the enterprise would take several days, but due to the disruption of supplies, the timing remained uncertain.
As a source in AVTOVAZ clarified, the plant’s shutdown is not related to restrictive measures, moreover, it was planned in advance.
