Mass media: mobile operators have raised prices for tariffs

Tariffs for Russians increased by 10%.

The media reports on the revision of prices for new and old tariffs of mobile Russian companies MTS, MegaFon, Vimpelcom and Tele2.

As “Kommersant” writes, also in the current April, a number of existing lines were closed for connection.

The publication reports that the anti-Russian sanctions imposed due to the special operation in Ukraine affected the policy of operators. They had to raise prices adjusted for inflation.

Media analysts noted that the average price of services in April increased by almost 10%, although inflation increased by 16%. But operators will not want to increase the cost of communication due to high competition, experts say.

With regard to specific companies, it is known that MegaFon has increased the cost of “No overpayments” lines by 30 rubles, including “Minimum”, “Internet”, “Calls”, “MegaTarif”, “Maximum”, explaining this by the desire to maintain high quality communication.

MTS has increased Netarif and Netarif Junior by 30 – 50 rubles for some regions.

Tele2 archived the tariffs “My Tele2” (“My conversation”, “My online”, “My online+” and “Super online+”), replaced “Super online+” with “Super Conversation” appeared. And Vimpelcom closed Anlim, explaining that they free up resources and get rid of old tariffs with rare users.

The Federal Antimonopoly Service, in turn, said that operators should notify about the change of tariffs at least 14 days in advance.

The Ministry of Finance explained to the publication that the tariff policy will be determined by operators taking into account limited supplies of equipment, and the increase in tariffs should be specified in the contract with the subscriber.
