The list of new companies that left Russia by March 29 became known

The OBI building materials network, on the contrary, resumes work.

On Tuesday, March 29, new organizations joined the list of companies that left the market in Russia. Thus, the American company Johnson & Johnson decided to suspend the supply of personal hygiene products to the Russian Federation.

On the eve of the sale of assets in Russia, the Danish beer company Carlsberg announced. The company’s release says that after the sales are completed, the company will not be present in the country. It was a “difficult and urgent decision.”

Meanwhile, Carlsberg owns 140 brands – Russians know the company from Carlsberg, Tuborg, Kronenburg beer, etc. In Russia in 2021, Carlsberg received revenue of $ 960 million.

At the same time, the Baltika company – Carlsberg’s daughter – will remain on the Russian market.

The Dutch brewing concern Heineken also announced the transfer of the business to a new owner and withdrawal from the Russian market.

“We have come to the conclusion that owning a business in Russia is no longer sustainable and expedient in the current conditions,” the company, which is the second largest beer producer in the world, made a statement.

According to RBC, they requested to suspend the license for the release and sale of the Bud beer brand in Russia. With such a decision, the Ab InBev brewing company appealed to the shareholder.

By the way, the media reported that the OBI chain of construction and household goods stores, which also suspended work in March, decided to resume operations. After the technical failure is eliminated, allegedly stores in St. Petersburg and Moscow will start working. And in April, all 27 OBI stores operating in Russia will reopen.

Soon, OBI refuted these data: all stores will remain closed for the long term.

At the same time, the French chain of sporting goods stores Decathlon will suspend its activities. About 57 stores of this brand have been opened in Russia so far.

As Topnews wrote earlier, the expert told when global companies will start returning to Russia. They can do this by the summer – especially those who can be replaced by domestic companies in the Russian Federation.
