Analysts have concluded that there is a serious supply crisis.
Analysts have concluded that it has become unprofitable for gas transportation companies to transport shipments of liquefied natural gas from the United States to Europe.
According to the publication “Free Press “, the price of only one such transportation will bring a loss and is estimated as negative.
As analysts explain, Europe has already taken 90.8% or 43.4 billion cubic meters of gas from its storage facilities, having almost emptied its gas storage facilities. But it is simply unprofitable for gas tankers to transport fuel under current conditions, they have to work at a loss to deliver fuel from across the Atlantic.
LNG prices are high due to the energy transition that has begun, which has provoked a shortage of fuel.
The publication notes that it is faster for tankers to get across the Atlantic than across the Pacific Ocean, but they are idle, because there is not enough fuel to fill the cylinders.
As a result, each flight brings a loss, despite the Americans’ statements about record LNG production.
“If your ships are heading to Europe and not to Asia, the journey will be much shorter, so the ships will return earlier and be ready to go again. This creates greater accessibility (or rather overabundance) in the transportation system,” explained the expert “SP”.
According to Bloomberg, in January LNG shipments to Europe were record due to the fact that traders, using spot prices, sent supplies from Asia.
As a result, a large number of ships appeared in the Atlantic.
The problem that has arisen at the moment could be solved by redirecting ships to Asia by a longer route across the Pacific Ocean and thus balancing the interests of fuel producers, its buyers and ship owners. But this requires the launch of the Nord Stream-2. And the United States opposes this.
As a result, the publication comes to the conclusion that Gazprom and its head Alexey Miller personally bent everyone.
Earlier, Topnews wrote that Miller commented on Ukraine’s threats to take away gas on account of debt payment.
