The FIU explained to the Russians on what conditions they can receive a lump sum payment from their pension savings.
As reported on the portal of the Nizhny Novgorod branch of the Pension Fund, some categories of Russians can count on this money.
So, they include:
- those who were born later than 1967,
- men born in 1953-1966,
- women born in 1957-1966
However, they can receive payments if they were officially employed in the period from 2002 to 2004, and their employers deducted insurance premiums to the FIU.
The recipients of the payment may also be participants who have joined the state pension co-financing program by the end of 2014.
It is clarified that it does not matter whether the contributions went to the state or private pension fund. But this payment is not available for Russians – holders of a funded pension.
The FIU also stated that in addition to this, there are three other types of pension payments. These include fixed-term pension payments, a funded pension and pension savings funds received by the legal successors of the insured person.
Additional responsibilities of the Pension Fund
From 2022, the Pension Fund will take over the payments of 17 types of benefits that other departments previously dealt with.
Now it is necessary to apply to the FIU for maternity and child care benefits, the fund will pay a monthly allowance to the wives of conscripted servicemen, as well as carry out several lump-sum payments.
The department will also receive compensation, both insurance premiums for the disabled (under the CTP) and those paid to victims of radiation, repression and rehabilitated citizens of the Russian Federation.
According to the Ministry of Labor, the support will cover 2.083 million Russians who are currently receiving benefits in social protection and Rostrude.
Pension increase
Recall that the current average size of the insurance pension is 17,444 rubles. But the day before, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that he had announced an increase in pensions in the coming years.
According to the Russian leader, financial support for indexing has already been provided. Also in 2023, the rate of indexing salaries to military personnel and law enforcement officers will increase.
Also, Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova announced the average amount of old-age pension insurance payments. According to her, next year it will reach 18,521 rubles. By 2023, it is planned to increase to 20,000.
