“Betrayed their country, relatives and friends”: Volodin announced a tax increase for Russians who left the Russian Federation with the beginning of their own

The idea of the speaker of the State Duma was supported by the Federation Council.

According to State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin, the lower house of parliament is already working on amendments to the law, according to which higher tax rates will be applied for Russians who have left Russia.

Volodin is sure that “it will be fair”.

He believes that those who realized that they had made a mistake have already returned to their homeland.

The speaker of the State Duma wrote about this in his Telegram.

“The rest should understand: the overwhelming part of society does not support their act – believes that they betrayed their country, relatives and friends <…> It is right to cancel preferences for those who left the Russian Federation and introduce an increased tax rate for them. So it will be fair”, – he noted.

According to him, the overwhelming part of society does not support the Russians who have left and considers such people traitors.

Nevertheless, for the time being, people who have left Russia can work remotely in Russian companies and enjoy benefits according to the laws of Russia.

Now, no benefits are expected for them.

“ But until today, those who have left not only work in Russian companies remotely, but also enjoy all the benefits that it gives them in accordance with the legislation of our country, ”, – wrote Vyacheslav Volodin.

According to Senator Sergey Tsekov, the introduction of an increased tax rate for Russians who have left can be quickly adopted if a consensus is reached on this issue.

“To escape abroad, but at the same time continue to enjoy the benefits provided by the Russian state, is fundamentally wrong, ”, – said a member of the Federation Council.

He stressed that Russians need to continue to contribute to the development of their country.

Recall that last November, the head of the Ministry of Finance Anton Siluanov said that the department is thinking about maintaining personal income tax for Russians who have left at the level of 13%.

Earlier, topNews wrote that Volodin announced a ban on surrogacy for foreigners.

It is expected that the bill will be adopted in the very near future.
