The Russian response to Western sanctions on fuel transportation has become known.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has issued a decree banning the supply of Russian oil under the price ceiling. The document, which is posted on the legal information portal, indicates that the ban comes into force on February 1, 2023.
As RIA Novosti clarifies, the total validity of the decree is limited to July 1 next year. In particular, oil and its derivatives cannot be sold if the price ceiling is a condition for sales.
Special measures are being taken in connection with the setting of the price limit for Russian oil by a number of countries.
It is known that Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak previously announced Russia’s response to Western oil sanctions.
He explained that it is planned to ban the supply of fuel to countries and legal entities that will specify price restrictions within the framework of contracts.
Russia is ready to reduce oil production, he explained, in the amount of 5 – 7% already at the beginning of 2023.
Recall that the EU sanctions came into force on December 5. The Commonwealth has imposed a ban on Russian oil supplies by sea, in addition, the G7, the EU and Australia have introduced prices for fuel supplied by sea in the amount of $ 60 per 1 barrel.
More expensive fuel cannot be transported or insured.
